HOW IT STARTED

A weaver’s kurti, a school list, and one idea

In 2021 we were buying cotton kurtis from a weaver family in Tangail for friends, and hunting Nilkhet for decent colour pencils for our kids. Both were harder than they should be.

So we started two shops under one roof. Putulghor for clothing and home pieces made by hand, and Kiddletown for stationery that survives a school term.

Today one bag, one checkout and one parcel carry both — from over forty maker families to homes in every district.

How we work

Four promises we check ourselves against
  • Natural first

Cotton, khadi, jute, mango wood and clay. Fewer plastics, more things that age well.

  • Fair to makers

We pay weavers and artisans upfront, at prices they set — never on consignment.

  • Checked by hand

Every kurti, notebook and lamp is unpacked and inspected before it's listed.

  • Quick to your door

Packed in Dhaka within a day, delivered to all 64 districts with COD everywhere.
